So apparently after taking a few different MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality tests, my personality type usually comes up as ISTJ (Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, Judging)… a couple of the results came up as ISFJ. I know some people that might be tempted to give me other labels. 🙂
There are many versions of this test online, and depending on they way the questions are worded, your results may vary somewhat.
I won’t list all the traits for the ISTJ, but you can find them as well as the other 16 types here.
Obviously people are much more complex than these 16 personality types, but it’s a good way to see what general type you associate with most often.
Have you taken the MBTI test? What type are you?
I’m INFJ, without much of the “gentle” most descriptions include …

Yeah…same here, most ISTJ traits are accurate for me, except maybe the ‘stubborn/strong willed’…at least I don’t think I’m THAT stubborn 🙂

Woohoo! I’m an ISTJ. On the outside it might look boring and rigid but to me it’s fun and I love it!!! This test really helped me embrace myself with my love of rules, tradition, aesthetics, facts, working hard etc.

Hey…a kindred spirit!… I agree, I like my personality, even if others might have trouble with it. 🙂 We’re definitely not ‘boring and rigid’…looks can be deceiving. 🙂

Constant improvement is a good thing 🙂 I like the quote in your avatar picture… ‘Quiet people have the loudest minds’…nice. 🙂

INFJ here, too. Mine is fairly accurate. I like seeing what my type is versus my friends, husband, etc. It helps me to see our areas of conflict and I can try to be more understanding/come up with a better way to approach situations.
Plus, in this description, it looks like I get a magic wand. 🙂

Oddly enough, we only make up 1-2% of the MBTI results- but I think because most of us find some comfort in knowing there are others out there like us, we cling to that label. And most of us are creative and have a need to express ourselves (as well as often struggling to connect with others in person), so, yeah, there are lots of INFJ bloggers out there. I love it! 🙂
